Tasting Notes
Another beautiful Beaujolais from JJ Vincent. Prior vintages of this wine have been more robust, intense and earthy, but this 2018 is different... even if it os from a warmer vintage. It's a little closed on opening so give it a decant and you'll be rewarded with the prettiest of perfumes. Lavender, pepper, clove, fresh mushrooms, ripe strawberry and cherry, and a bit of old-school barnyard to boot.
Julienas is one of 10 Cru's of Beaujolais, and although it isn't as famed as Morgon or Fleurie, it has produced a wine that is quite Burgundian. l served it at 16 degrees Celsius in a large Burgundy glass. - Chris L
