Tasting Notes
One of the wonders of naturally produced wine is tasting a powerful darker fruited, savoury wine that is still medium bodied, even with elegant characters. This red blend from the Loire is such a beauty. Blended malbec, gamay and gascon open after decanting to display its powerful body of dark fruits, lifted with savoury spices (and maybe even clove, beetroot, leather, cigar hints) and balsamic, and finishing with beautifully fine chalky tannins. There's plenty of acid too for a long lived wine.13% alc..Complex structure and yet so enjoyable now. - Michael L.
The story begins here, in the heart of the Sologne, where Julien Courtois and Heidi Kuka cultivate 4.5 hectares of vineyards and offer 7 different grape varieties. Wine makers for many generations, Juliens father Claude Courtois, gave him his taste for natural wines. From the vineyard to the cellar, culture and wine are natural and organic. The goal is to help you discover authentic wines at amazing and unique character.
