Tasting Notes
This Adelaide Hills Chardonnay brings together flinty reduction, layered oak and plenty of fruit intensity without losing balance. Sourced from vineyards planted in the late 1990s, the wine is fermented in French oak puncheons before extended lees ageing in both oak and stainless steel. The result is a fuller bodied, flinty style of Chardonnay showing stone fruit, citrus and subtle smoky notes wrapped with a good hint of flashy French oak around a long, savoury finish. - Pete L
