Tasting Notes
One of the great Syrah (Shiraz) from New Zealand's north island. Refined and detailed, much like the man himself, Hiro Kusuda. On the restrained end of the spectrum, yet this wine is full of character, structure and length. Drink now or over the next 10-20 years. - Chris L
Hiro Kusuda may be the most picky wine producer I've ever met. When it comes to picking the fruit for this wine he calls on the help of friends who gladly don their hats and gloves and spend a week or two individually inspecting each and every bunch of grapes and removing any blemished fruit so that the grapes that are finally chosen to make his wines are perfectly pristine.
