Tasting Notes
You might not have come across Cesanese much but I can tell you this is one of the best examples of the variety I have seen. It's like a refined Barolo in structure, only with a floral aromatic profile that shows more dried herbs than flowers. The beauiful red fruit profile intertwines majestically with this herbal attribute making for a layered and complex wine that is approachable now but will also benefit from 10 years or more in a good cellar. Loved it! Loves food! - Chris L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
