Tasting Notes
Based on Malvasia Fina (60%) with Gouveio and Síria, vines around 30 years old and handled simply in stainless. 12.5% a/v, PH 3.36, ta 5.10, screwcap. A blend of Malvasia fina, Síria and Gouveio from Douro's highest, coolest slopes, fermented in stainless steel. A nose of crunchy citrus with a nice plop of white peachy-richness is nuanced with subtle herb and spice touches. The palate has clever textural elaboration and gets good deep spread and mouthfeel down and back after a fresh entry, and then relaxes and releases. The citrus-orchard fruit hybrid is beautifully balanced between lemon drop and pear. Mid-weight and rounded in the middle with good length, freshness and pop. - Importer Note
