The palate is bright and well balanced, showing gentle richness from time on lees while staying crisp and energetic through a clean, focused finish. Les Frères Engel is a small family domaine based in Orschwiller, in the heart of Alsace, now run by brothers Pierre and Jacques Engel. Farming organically and working with a strong focus on their vineyards and soils, the brothers produce a vibrant, contemporary expression of the region. Fermentations are spontaneous and cellar work is kept deliberately simple, with minimal additions and intervention. Their wines are energetic and characterful, balancing Alsace’s natural generosity with freshness, texture and a distinctly savoury edge.
