Tasting Notes
Good Australian version of Sangiovese! The nose is a bit hidden for a while, then classic cherry fruit with a complex herbal edge on the palate. Loved the developing chalky tannin feel as we drank. Serious and good new world Sangio from Heathcote. 13.8% alc. Will develop nicely for a few years in the cellar. - Michael L
This husband/wife winemaking combo are nerds... and we love them. Their wines are named after the Linnaean binomial system (plant naming) created by naturalist Carl Linnaeus. They travel the world together making wine from some of the most prestigious regions in the world - Barolo, Napa and Heathcote. As a whole they are more restrained, savoury styles of wine.
