Tasting Notes
It's a really good Cabernet and unlike most of the Cabernet's you see coming out of Heathcote, let alone Australia. Savoury and dusty with a medium bodied cassis fruit profile and moderate alcohol. Some leafy characters are evident but they're so well integrated into the wine and add just another layer of complexity.
This husband/wife winemaking combo are nerds... and we love them. Their wines are named after the Linnaean binomial system (plant naming) created by naturalist Carl Linnaeus. They travel the world together making wine from some of the most prestigious regions in the world - Barolo, Napa and Heathcote. As a whole they are more restrained, savoury styles of wine.
