Sourced from elevated vineyards in the Hilltops region of New South Wales, this Syrah captures both the aromatic lift and savoury depth that define Mada’s style. The nose is bright and perfumed, with violet, blueberry and black cherry intertwined with pepper, graphite and a hint of smoked herbs. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and finely poised, showing pure, dark fruit supported by silky tannins and a vibrant acid line. A gentle whole-bunch character adds tension and spice, while the finish is long, mineral and graceful. Hamish launched Mada Wines in 2016 and is dedicated to working closely with an exciting group of local growers at the forefront of viticulture in Canberra and its surrounds.
