Tasting Notes
This Nero d’Avola comes from the Don Paolo and Parrino vineyards, where clay-limestone soils and biodynamic farming shape a wine of depth and clarity. Fermented naturally with a long skin contact and aged partly in steel before further time in bottle, it shows a pure, focused expression of the variety. Dark fruit, gentle spice and earthy notes lead the profile, while the palate stays balanced and structured with fresh lift. A thoughtful, site-driven Sicilian red that combines richness with restraint. - Aaron C
The Marabino winery is located in Noto in the south-east of Sicily in the 'Buonivini' and 'Barone' regions of the renowned DOC districts of 'Eloro' and 'Noto'. Established in 2002 the winery overlooks 35 hectares of vineyards, its terracotta colour dominating the surrounding landscape. Marabino uses an organic and biodynamic philosophy in producing the finest grapes. The winery focuses mainly on the native vines of the region ‚– Moscato di Noto and Nero d'Avola, together with a careful selection of Chardonnay clones.
