Tasting Notes
Vigna La Miccia represents Marco De Bartoli’s modern take on Marsala, reimagining the category with a lighter, more refined touch while staying true to its roots. First created in the mid-1980s, it showcases Grillo grown in Contrada Samperi, where carefully tended vines are hand-harvested and gently pressed before fermenting naturally in stainless steel. The wine then matures in French oak barrels, kept topped to preserve freshness, resulting in a semi-dry style that carries classic Marsala character with greater finesse and subtlety. - Pete L
