Tasting Notes
Labech is a co-fermented blend of 65% Carignan Noir and 35% Piquepoul from organically farmed vines of mixed age at 300m on clay-limestone in Corbières, hand harvested, pressed and co-fermented on skins with native yeasts before ageing on fine lees in tank to build texture and tension without oak. The blend draws Carignan's spiced, savoury character into Piquepoul's racy acidity in the same vessel, the result fresh and layered with bright fruit, real tension and a lively, saline finish. A clear expression of its Mediterranean home and another faithful read on Mare Nostrum Vini's low-intervention ethos and respect for place. - Pete L
