One of the best value Nebbiolo's you'll ever come across. Lighter in body and weight than most, yet it maintains the varieties typical and very present tannin structure - fine and plentiful. It's more savoury and dusty than fruity and round, with aromas of raspberry, tar, leather and sweet spice. I'd serve it with pork or lamb. - Chris L
Made by the guys at Fontanafredda with over 150 years of history. This is a great side project wine that hits the spot on value and quality. Fontanafredda have long been working towards a lighter ecoological footprint so their Langhe vineyards are managed without chemical fertilizers or weed control. Only organic substances are used as manure , while pest prevention treatments are limited to the absolute minimum in keeping with the most advanced integrated vine pest management techniques established by the European Union program for safeguarding the environment and reducing crop protection interventions. In 2010, Fontanafredda's winegrowing operations attained 'integrated farm management " certification.
