Tasting Notes
An everyday Sangiovese for the table, from one of the masters of the grape. From a vineyard planted at an elevation of 500 metres over volcanic soils in Monte Amiata, it spent a fortnight on skins, before being pressed off to old casks for six months. From a warmer vintage, this is plush with flavours of black cherry, herbs and earth. A pure, honest and delicious expression of the grape that punches well above its weight. - Importer Note
