Tasting Notes
Mark Haisma's Cornas fruit comes from a 70 year old vineyard planted on the classic decomposed granite slopes of the region.
The 2021 Mark Haisma Cornas is elegant, aromatic, and pure, with red berry fruit notes on the nose and a silky, elegant palate with fine spiciness. The wine also exhibits blackberry, bramble, licorice, and kalamata olive notes, with a velvety texture, ripe black fruit, and a distinctive Cornas slate/graphite character. It's good value for Cornas, highlighting the balance between fruit, expression, and refreshment. - Chris L
