Tasting Notes
A seriously interesting wine from Mt. Etna that defies all expectations. This was a cloudy gold colour due some skin contact and displayed a concoction of lemon, lemon zest, orange peel, white peach and pineapple with some white blossom laced in there and a touch of honey. With more air this also showed some pine nut and the tiniest touch of nougat and actually became zippier and more energetic as time went on. A delicious drink - the product of Etna’s volcanic soils, 140 year old bush vines and organic farming. - Aaron. C.
Petrol's a fitting word for this wine - it's full throttle! A rich, full-bodied and deeply layered wine full of flavour with that Etna smokey/sulfide minerality. It's not for the faint hearted but it's also a real treat to be drinking. - Chris L
