Tasting Notes
This is a lovely medium bodied Adelaide Hills Pinot from Ngeringa. A splash goes through carbonic maceration for lift while the rest is foot stomped and fermented traditionally, then rested in old French barriques so it stays bright and pure. Ruby in the glass, it's filled with plum, wild strawberry and redcurrant, the juicy red fruit carrying a savoury sandalwood edge and a gentle Amaro bitterness. Dusty, earthy tannins round off the finish. Really charming stuff. - Pete L
