Tasting Notes
Barbera from d’Asti that is from nearly 50 year old vines. This cuvee spends around a month on skins and has a short amount of time in old botti - this is to keep the plump fruit weight in full view. The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness to retain the freshness and acidity that this variety is always known for. Bright and bountiful. - Importer Note
Olek Bondonio vineyard has been in his family for more than 200 years. In Olek's early years he was conquering the world of professional snowboarding, but soon he turned his attention back to the winery in Barbaresco where he had spent his summer's. He now farms his vineyard and produces his wines in a traditional fashion, with minimal inputs and a lot of care and attention by hand. He crafts magnificent wines from his vineyard in Barbaresco. - Chris L
