Tasting Notes
Decadent and opulent Champagne here. Toasty, intense yet elegant Chardonnay that is unmistakably barrel aged. Definitely for the fans of the more powerful side of Champagne. This is long and luxurious. - Pete L
For three generations, the Launois family has faithfully tended to 6.5 hectares of Chardonnay vines in the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, at the heart of Champagne's Cote de Blancs region. The husband and wife team of Julien and Sarah, while raising their young son Paul to continue the family tradition, meticulously craft these wines by hand.
Historically, they supplied their grapes to the village cooperative. However, in a significant turning point in their family's journey, Julien and Sarah Launois made the decision to transition from growers to producers. Their handcrafted cuveés are both rare and delightful.
