Tasting Notes
The flagship wine from this estate. This is indicative of the house style and the quality of Chardonnay they grow across their Grand Cru holding in Le Mesnil. Ripe apple, pear, jasmine, almond meal, with hints of cream on the palate. A real stunner. - Pete L
For three generations, the Launois family has faithfully tended to 6.5 hectares of Chardonnay vines in the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, at the heart of Champagne's Cote de Blancs region. The husband and wife team of Julien and Sarah, while raising their young son Paul to continue the family tradition, meticulously craft these wines by hand.
Historically, they supplied their grapes to the village cooperative. However, in a significant turning point in their family's journey, Julien and Sarah Launois made the decision to transition from growers to producers. Their handcrafted cuveés are both rare and delightful.
