Tasting Notes
Drawn from tiny yields and mostly old-vine Grenache growing high on Collioure’s granite and schist slopes, this wine shows the quiet power of its mountain setting. Whole bunches were left to ferment slowly before being pressed into old foudres for an extended 18-month rest, giving the wine remarkable composure and detail. The aromas lean toward gentle black fruits, floral tones and a slate-like mineral thread, all of which flow into a palate that feels airy yet deeply nuanced. Still early in the life of this estate, but the wine carries an elegance and purity that make it feel truly special. - Aaron C

Hand harvesting, whole bunches, spontaneous fermentations, no pumps and no filtration. These are wines that a full of character and when you add the talent of Hiro and Rié the result is elan and finesse; in short, wonderful wines.
