The En Vaudecorse Chablis is very similar to the normal AC Chablis only it is souced from a single plot of older vines planted on leaner soils and the quality increase is obvious. More concentrated, aromatic and more body while still maintaining the typical minerality seen in good Chablis. Love it or leave it, because someone else will love it - someone like me!! - Chris L
Domaine Gilbert Picq is a highly regarded family-run estate in the heart of Chablis, renowned for producing wines of purity, precision, and terroir expression. Their approach is classically Chablisien: hand-tended vines, low yields, careful pressing, and fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel to preserve freshness and the signature chalky minerality of the Kimmeridgian soils. No oak is used, allowing the wines to speak clearly of their origin. The results are whites of tension and clarity, with citrus, saline, and flinty notes that have made Picq a reference point for lovers of authentic, artisanal Chablis.
