Tasting Notes
The first time I tasted this Gamay from Pierre Boyat I was utterly blown away. It had the slightly oxidative character (that I love so much) of Claude Courtois' cuvee Racines but with all of the deliciousness of whole berry/bunch fermentation. The Gamay from this part of Beaujolais is generally a little fuller and darker than is normally the case for, say, Brouilly or Morgon and the fruit profile can taste truly exceptional.
