Tasting Notes
Sourced from old vines in the well-situated premier cru Bas des Duresses, this Pinot Noir shows both the rustic charm of Auxey and the refinement of Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey’s winemaking. The bouquet is vivid and expressive, with bright red cherry, raspberry and rose petal notes lifted by hints of spice and earth. The palate is medium-bodied and finely structured, carrying juicy red fruit framed by taut acidity and delicate, chalky tannins. Subtle oak adds polish without masking the mineral edge, leading to a long, precise finish. A wine of clarity and poise, offering both early approachability and the structure to evolve with time. - Chris L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
