Tasting Notes
Sourced mainly from old-vine parcels in and around the commune of Saint-Aubin, this Bourgogne Blanc is a superb introduction to Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey’s precise and mineral-driven style. The nose is pure and lifted, with citrus zest, pear and white peach layered over subtle floral notes and a stony edge. The palate is taut and energetic, offering juicy orchard fruit balanced by racy acidity and a fine chalky texture. Oak is present but beautifully restrained, adding just a whisper of spice and creaminess without overshadowing the fruit. The finish is long, mouthwatering and elegant—an exceptional Bourgogne that delivers real depth and class. - Chris L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
