Tasting Notes
From the La Comme vineyard on the border with Chassagne-Montrachet, this Pinot Noir balances Santenay’s natural depth with Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey’s hallmark finesse. The nose opens with red cherry, wild strawberry and rose petal, layered with subtle spice and a touch of earth. On the palate, it is supple yet finely structured, with juicy red fruit framed by fresh acidity and silky, well-integrated tannins. A gentle mineral thread carries through to the long, elegant finish, giving the wine both vibrancy and quiet complexity. Poised and versatile, it is delicious in youth but will reward mid-term cellaring. - Chris L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
