Tasting Notes
Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey’s Vosne-Romanée is a beautifully poised expression of this fabled village, bringing his hallmark precision to Pinot Noir’s natural perfume and depth. The bouquet is lifted and complex, with red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry interwoven with violet, exotic spice and a faint hint of earth. The palate is supple yet finely structured, balancing juicy red fruit with silky tannins and a vibrant line of acidity. Subtle oak adds savoury nuance without intruding, while a mineral thread carries through to a long, elegant finish. A wine of clarity and finesse, offering early charm but with the balance to reward mid-term cellaring. - Chris L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
