Tasting Notes
The 2022 harvest was the 3rd time that the Place of Changing Winds team sourced a batch of fruit from an exciting new grower in Harcourt, on the granitic sands of Mount Alexander.
The cooler Harcourt site yields more savoury, spicy Syrah and, from 2021-on POCW will make a specific wine from this site. An earlier drinking expression, it's already highly aromatic, bursting with flavours of juicy blue fruits, perfumed violets and spice. The palate is vibrant with a silky body, underpinned by driving acidity and a nip of graphite-like tannins. - Distributor Note
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
