Tasting Notes
Undoubtedly the flagship of the Pooley Pinot Noirs. The Butchers Hill site is planted on dolerite, black cracking clays and limestone over sandstone on a steep North-facing slope in the Coal River Valley. The wine is fine boned in structure yet weighted by red fruits and essence of earth with a lick of new oak. In our minds it's one of the best Pinot's coming out of Tassie. - Chris L
