Tasting Notes
Praeter's Spring White is a field blend of roughly equal parts Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Savagnin, all picked on the same day from the Magpie Block in the Southern Fleurieu. The three are co-fermented in clay amphora and left on lees for just four months to keep it bright and fresh. There's that classic Magpie Block mineral acid and talcy grip, with fleshy citrus and custard apple through the middle and a lift of tonic water and sherbet on the finish. Fresh, textural and full of zip and drive. - Pete L
