Tasting Notes
One of the all time great Co-op wines in the world. It's not often wines from the local co-operative in any country around the world produce great wines, but Produttori del Barbaresco is the exception. Sourced from 51 different growers from around the region, the entry-level Langhe Nebbiolo punches well above its weight. It's perfumed and red-fruited on the nose, with a balance between the sweet fruits and savoury structure on the palate. Get around it before it's all gone. - Chris L
50 families,100 hectares, the Produttori del Barbaresco in my opinion is the best co-operative winery in the world. The style is traditional and unadulterated. The general Barbaresco is a blend of all the vineyards from all the families to make up one hell of a blend. The single vineyard sites are extraordinary expressions of the best Cru's in the region, all produced in the same way yet they show the individual parcels of fruit very differently. True terroir. - Chris L
