Tasting Notes
Paje is a single vineyard expression from Produttori del Barbaresco. The 1.8 hectare vineyard is planted to Nebbiolo on calcareous limestone soils with sandy veins. The wine is medium to full bodied with impressive florals and intensely spicy fruit. The tannins are present and powerful, becoming more elegant with age. - Chris L
50 families,100 hectares, the Produttori del Barbaresco in my opinion is the best co-operative winery in the world. The style is traditional and unadulterated. The general Barbaresco is a blend of all the vineyards from all the families to make up one hell of a blend. The single vineyard sites are extraordinary expressions of the best Cru's in the region, all produced in the same way yet they show the individual parcels of fruit very differently.
