Tasting Notes
A more complex wine from the Ribera del Duero region, just south of Rioja. It’s a Riserva so it spends more time in oak than usual. Dusty red and black fruits on the nose, along with some lovely savoury notes - dried herbs, gamey meats - and some oak. The medium-bodied palate shows more ripe red fruits as well as some dusty and meaty tones. Fine, yet plentiful tannins and just accented by a touch of sweet vanillin oak. A complex Spanish Tempranillo with adequate bottle age for enjoyment now but will age well for 20 years or more. - Chris L
