A real leap in quality from the already fantastic Louro. This wine is a blend of six parcels of vines ranging from 45 to 85 years old from above the Bibei River. A real benchmark of the style, age worthy and reminiscent of some of my favourite wines made by their French counterparts in Burgundy. Powerful, elegant and textural. Bliss. - Pete L
Rafael Palacios is one of the established stars of the Spanish wine scene and is considered by many to be behind some of the finest whites the country has produced. Since 2004 he’s worked exclusively in the small, back then unknown town of O Bolo in the upper reaches of the Valdeorras zone of Galicia. An area where he’s convinced the unique climate – Atlantic with mild Continental influences, the raw granite soils and the local Godello grape can combine to create truly unique wines of complexity and elegance. - Importer Note
