Yann Durieux is one of a few modern Burgundy producers that have achieved cult status thanks to some smart employment choices and even smarter winemaking. He was the vineyard manager at Prieure Roch, one of Burgundy's most sought after estates for ten years before reclaiming his family holdings and setting out on his own making wines that champion natural winemaking techniques. He was doing it before it was "cool" adopting similar techniques to what he saw at Prieure Roch.
