Tasting Notes
This is a classic fresher expression of Cote-Rotie with a bouquet of red plums, black cherries, violets, peppercorn, bacon fat and earth. This becomes even brighter and fresher with more air and displays more roses, red cherry and then enters an earthy phase. Tight, fine-grained tannins help create a great silky texture. This is a wine for those that love Syrah but hate when producers throw too much new oak at it. - Aaron C.
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
