Tasting Notes
Provence Rose (the good ones) play with your senses till you understand - like, it's not really about fruit on the nose; and there is clearly a purity of fruit on the palate, but try and put a label on that fruit type? You know it doesn't matter - because the good ones are just so delicate and quaffable. Rumauresq is amongst my best. Colour is typical onion skin; nose God knows; palate is clean fresh, light, call it autumn fruits. And just made for carefree Summer! - Michael L
Rimauresq takes its name from the "Real Mauresque " which is the river which flows through the vineyards. Its exceptional 'terroir', recognised through its Cru Classé status, results in wines of elegance, complexity, purity and long term cellaring potential. The terroir is of crystalline rock with sand and gravelly soil. It frequently benefits from the combination of the individual terroirs in the same area of the vineyard. It is this diversity that allows Rimauresq to excel in all three styles: red, white and rosé. - Importer Note
