Tasting Notes

A blend of 2/3 Gamay and 1/3 Pinot Noir, this is sourced from 45 year-old vines from 3 lieux-dits around Nuits-Saint-Georges - Champs d'Argent, Croix Blanche, Petit Chaliot. The vineyards are on well-drained, stoney slopes in areas rich with limestone with marl/clay deposits which gives the wine real finesse and structure. - Gus Pollard

Domaine Robert Chevillon is a legendary, family-owned winery located in the heart of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy, widely recognized as one of the Côte de Nuits' finest producers. The domaine has built an impeccable reputation for crafting powerful, structured, and age-worthy Pinot Noirs that are true expressions of their specific terroirs. The estate is currently managed by the energetic brother team of Denis and Bertrand Chevillon, who continue the meticulous work of their father, Robert.

The domaine owns approximately 13 hectares of vineyards, strategically positioned across the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation. The crown jewels of their holdings are their eight different Premier Cru vineyards, which represent a masterclass in the appellation's diverse terroirs. These plots feature classic clay-limestone soils with varying amounts of stone and marl, which contribute distinct characteristics to each bottling.

For those seeking the purest, most profound expression of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Robert Chevillon is an essential name to know.
