Tasting Notes
A pretty pale gold in the glass with a desirable struck match flintiness upon opening. Delicate flavours of lime, nashi pear and almond meal in a linear frame. Great balance and approachability, offering high drinkability. Sure to be well liked at the table. - Mitch M
The Domaine was founded in 1978 and sits on the prized Kimmeridgian soils around the village of Lignorelles which is to the north-west of the small town of Chablis. Roland’s two sons, David and Arnaud, work this 20ha lutte raisonnée Domaine with their father. Ferments are temperature controlled in stainless steel and all but the Petit-Chablis spends some time in 2 to 5 year old barriques. Whilst the Vaudesir is a mighty Grand Cru the signature wine of the Domaine is the lieu dit ‘Vau Prin’ which is one of the highest vineyards in Chablis and transposes an extreme mineral puissance. - Importer Note
