Tasting Notes
Elegance is the word. The single vineyard Thorley Chardonnay is very restrained and delicate - white peach, white nectarine and secondary nuances which only add to its complexity. Watch this wine develop in bottle over the next 10 years, it's brilliant. - Chris L
An elegant and clean expression of Beechworth Chardonnay. Lemon, lime, white peach and a touch of jasmine are balanced in the bouquet with a hint of crushed cashews and white pepper brooding in the background. Crisp, vibrant acidity is balanced perfectly with the medium-bodied palette followed with a long crystalline finish. A second and third glass brings out further notes of lemon curd and even a subtle touch of grass clippings. This is drinking beautifully now and will continue to age well throughout the rest of the decade. - Aaron C
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
