Tasting Notes
What a joy, tasting an elegant Durif after many years - I can’t remember ever putting the thought of Elegant and Durif together! Powerful dusty savoury black fruits, lifted spice notes; with such smooth, fine chalky tannins. Restrained 13.6% alc from Rutherglen nice to find. Unctuous! - Michael L
Durif with 85% of the stems included during fermentation. Striking, savoury, intense, structured. Inspired by the Rhone Valley in France, the use of stems delivers fragrance and fine, long tannin. Expect a wine of certain intensity, but also elegance, and the most pure, savoury red and dark fruit. Wild yeast fermentation, maturation in Foudre (no new oak). Unfiltered. - Winery Note
