Tasting Notes
Wow, it seems like yesterday since Tom Shobbrook and his “new-wave” winemaker mates drove their Combi from South Australia to our Annandale Winefair - but that was over 15 years ago! Tom’s wines have really grown in complexity and depth. This Grenache is so complex, with savoury darker fruits and beautiful earthy notes. No “Old-Barossa oaky” here. 14.5% alc. A darker fruited, savoury expression of Grenache with a nose of black plum, black cherry, violet, lavender and a light barnyard whisper running through it all. Despite this being darker, this is still lighter, fresh and full of vitality. Great wine. - Aaron C
