Tasting Notes
From Dan Graham’s Sigurd label, this Syrah is a refined and energetic expression of the variety, crafted from organically farmed sites across the Barossa and Eden Valleys. The nose is fragrant and lifted, with aromas of violets, blackberry and mulberry, woven through with pepper, spice and a touch of dried herb. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and poised, showing juicy dark fruits balanced by fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins and a savoury, mineral undercurrent. Oak is used with a delicate hand, adding polish without weight, and the finish is long, vibrant and quietly complex. A Syrah of elegance and drinkability. - Chris L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
