Tasting Notes
Here's a cracking estate grown Gruner Veltliner, made about as naturally as it gets, wild fermented and matured on full lees in big old oak, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. It's pale and inviting with a complex nose of white nectarine, lemon butter and grapefruit, that signature crack of Gruner white pepper and a savoury lift of rocket and celery. The palate is all energy and depth, dry and creamy with savoury edges and a lip smacking salinity driving a long, focused finish. Seriously good and endlessly versatile. - Pete L
