Tasting Notes
From inception, the Lamella Shiraz has always been a favourite of mine from the Standish range, and most wine writers would agree. Perhaps it's the cooler conditions found in the higher elevations of the Eden Valley that made it more adored by so many... perhaps it's the 100 year old vines... or perhaps it's the historical site of Stonegarden...? I like to think it's a combination of all these things that make this wine great, like that of a brilliant symphony. Intensity, elegance, eloquence, length and structure. This is one of a kind. - Chris L
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
