Tasting Notes
A vibrant tantalising Pinot Noir from the 2 hectare Tarrington vineyard (owned by Hochkirch) in Henty, Victoria. Blue and raspberry type fruits with uplifting hints of sweet and savoury spices to smell and taste. Not heavy in the mouth, yet there’s plenty of structure to finish, with good acidity plus a spicy and fine tannin finish. Lighter-on than the Hochkirch Maximus. 13.5% alc. Loveable. - Michael L
Tarrington Vineyard is a close-planted biodynamic vineyard just 2km from Hochkirch that was established by Tamara Irish and Dianne Nagorcka in 1993. Nine clones were used for the Pinot Noir and 4 clones for the Chardonnay. The vines are un-irrigated and efforts taken not to disturb the natural populations of fungi, worms and frogs. It is now owned John Nagorcka of Hochkirch and he has been making the wines since 2010. - Distributor Note
