Tasting Notes
A plot located on a slightly sloping plateau in the village of Prissé at over 213 metres altitude. Soils are deep, brown, loamy-clay, medium to heavy textures, slightly gravelly. Vinification is 10% in barrels and 90% in stainless steel vats for a period of 10 months with little filtration when bottled.
This white is beautifully fresh now and has plenty of fine fruit and acidity for a good life ahead. It opens now with smell and tastes of fresh white stonefruit (eg white nectarine) and citrus; finishing long with a chalky mouthfeel. There’s a hint of nuttiness integrated too, with only 10% seeing oak. Interesting to see the Chardonnay morph after food towards a riper yellow nectarine taste. 13% alc. Excellent quality and fair value! - Michael L
