Tasting Notes
Tinta Roriz aka Tempranillo originates from Rioja ‚– the famous wine region on the north of Spain ‚– but it is also widely spread in Portuguese wine regions in Douro River Valley where it makes one of the five main blending components of famous fortified Port wines. - Winery Note
Topper's Mountain is named after brothers Edward and William Topper, employees of George Jnr. and Alwyn Wyndham (sons of George Wyndham, founder of Wyndham Estate). George Jnr. and Alwyn owned New Valley Station, which included the present day Topper's Mountain. Mark Kirkby established the current vineyard between 1998 and 2002, with his wife, Stephanie and three daughters. - Winery Note
