Tasting Notes
Many would agree the team at Traviarti produce the best Nebbiolo in Australia. Their flagship Nebbiolo in my opinion is one of the finest in the country... Only downside is the wine needs time in the cellar to reveal its magic. Enter the Mezzo, the baby sibling... This wine is released much younger and meant to be enjoyed younger too. Beautiful, lifted herbs and bush spice on the nose, layers upon layers to enjoy. A very smart wine. Give it lots of air. - Pete L
We have long shared a wine interest with our attention more often than not grasped by structure. I guess it is no coincidence that this is reflected in the wines we choose to make. Nebbiolo, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, the noble red grapes of Italy, Spain and France respectively. We believe they all have an ideal home in Beechworth. We now also have our first ever Chardonnay, Beechworth's iconic variety. We aspire to wines that are moreish, complex, textured and balanced. - Winery Note
